If you haven't heard the name Flying Tigers, you might recognize their planes. They flew a USA-made Curtiss Warhawk painted with a menacing-looking shark mouth design that eventually became iconic. The Flying Tigers were an elite USA Fighter Plane Squadron, made of volunteer pilots from the Marines, Navy, and Air Force, who took on some of the most dangerous missions in the South Pacific.
